Default engine management light

I have a 2lt mondeo tdci the managent light is on, how do I gain access to these codes without going to a garage.

you need to get the codes read that are stored in the ecu.any small garage with a scanner should be able to do that for u reasonably cheaply

Get a scanner they can be cheap and very handy!

only scanner on those,obd 2 will be fine.I paid £75 for my mac tools one and wouldn`t be without it.

I bet you it's either an egr fault or an injector fault. Where are you located??

Scooby Dooby Is right, they're prone to injector faults and egr, normally you can just take the egr valve off which is very easy and clean it but of that don't fix it then its a valve which arent overly cheap
