it looks like this one is set directly after the first one

so you should watch:

the fast and the furious
fast and furious 5
fast and furious
too fast too furious
tokyo drift

yes?

I can't keep up with the order in which they go. And what happened to the bloke from the first one that drove the burgundy car ? He didn't die but never appeared in any other film like the rest of em ?

I may go to the cinema to see it, but no rush. It's gotta be worth a watch. Can't beat a mindless action film now and again, these are always good for a laugh.

1st one was typically hollywood in places but overall a reasonable watch
2nd one was typically hollywood all through and total shite
3rd one was typically hollywood in places but overall a reasonable watch
4th one was typically hollywood all through and total shite

So 5th one looks a good bet on the basis its only the even ones so far that are total horseshit

godfather is only a trilogy, the rest mentioned, including pirates, have had at least 4 instalments to date (pirates 4 is out soon, and i'm not listing the bourne series as there are another 3 books from memory staring the superspy out there in readerland)

i stand corrected, there are 8 bourne books

thing with the fast and furious films is on plot, storyline, acting etc its all "released straight to DVD" quality and the only thing that makes any of it stand out is the sheer popularity of street racing/modified car scene. And thats it.

saw it last night and was really impressed as its more an action film with loads of gun fights and punch ups in the rio slums.typicaly far fetched in places but a good watch and plenty of muscle cars including a rather smart old skool skyline r28 i think. great fight scene between vin diesel and the rock too.
