Default De-bumpering, Road legal?

just a quick one. had an idea to remove the rear bumper on my nova and trim the bottom of the rear valance in the style of the old lancia delta S4's

Like This;

would it be legal to run the car on the road without a rear bumper as long as there wasent any obvious sharp corners?

old school fords do it all the time but is it only before a cirtain date they can get away with it?

You might get away with it if its not blatantly obvious, or just looks like your bumpers fallen off.
Also you might have to consider hot exposed exhaust aswell!

Not sure on this one. One of the funcions of front and rear bumpers are they designed to allievate serious injury to pedestrians should you be unfortunate enough to hit one. (Not quite sure how) As such as they a MOT requirement ?

some models really suit it tbh
