A sainsburys petrol station has just opened up near me and they sell super unleaded, does anyone know the octane rating and will it be ok for my saph cosworth?

cheers Matthew

SUL is 98 RON, unleaded is 95 RON, yes SUL is recommended especially with FI engines.

I won't use Sainsburys fuel anymore despite having one spitting distance from my home. Valdermort used to fill up there for convenience and the car would always pink its nuts off and drove baddly. When I filled it up at Shell the pinking cleared and it drove nicely again until she filled up at Sainsburys again. Despite me telling her countless times that the fuel was shite and to go to Shell or Tesco for the 99 she would piss and moan about the 1p a litre higher price. Ermmm 1p more or save the penny and have car that drive baddly??? Ermmm. That's women for ya

I used the std unleaded from there for the first time a week or so ago, and found it really good tbh, but never used the better stuff.

My civic pinks a little bit at 40mph if i put my foot down in 4th, think i might try going to shell then, i fill up with normal unleaded at Morrisons for the last 1-2 years, mostly as its near where i work everyday and also the points which you can get in exchange for cash.

Might see if it runs better on shell though
