Default wrap.....or respray

love my frs to bits.....bored of imperial blue though

having seen robs (scc) newly wrapped frs i'm very tempted to get mine done, the approx cost is £1500

my car needs a little paint, lacquer peels and stonechips

the other option is to strip it....struggling to find where i will put the engine interior subframes etc though......would love to get a proper job done inside and out in another ford colour

the restoration threads on here and some of the project cars make me want to attempt something like this (damn you beefy, twins, mike r etc)

not too fussed about resale really, got the car dirt cheap 3 years ago and its done 110k now so its never gonna command big money

is there anywhere i could rent a space, thats secure for attempting a job like this over 6 months??

opinions guys (and gals)?

cheers

Same boat as me, had my FRS for 7 years but never been keen on the blue. I saw Chris Foster's Audi that he wrapped and have decided to go that route as well.

paint dont wrap it mate. wrapping is just a quick alternative to having a nice paint job.

If you are convinced you want z change then paint. If you think you may end up changing your mind then wrap.

Only one nice white one though

I would get it painted if you are not bothered about re-sale prices

There is a market for the different colour, look at all the interest you had around yours at National Day and the pink version from Chorley street garage, both awesome cars

You don't really care about re-sale or originality, so I'd paint it and get a fantastic job done. You don't have to worry about tears or chips in the vinyl either.

Cheers,
Grant

If it was my car and i had no intention on selling then I would get it painted myself. Vinyl fades and cracks and no amount of polishing will bring it back and it lifts around swage lines etc. Getting a full on colour change may be more expensive but will look so much better and you would be happier with the end result
