Default HELP - What insurance co. to use post BAN

Hi all,

Hope you are good - not been on here in a while, now I am living the quiet life car wise

I am getting back my licence tomorrow after a 6 month ban. Post office insurance (underwritten by Aviva) won't touch me, neither will Churchill. Anyone got any advice on an insurance company that will be interested in covering me? my details are as follows:

34 years old
No claims ever
6 years no claims
Been driving since 17
3 points - sp30 May 2008
3 points - CU80 (using mobile) Feb 2009
3 points - sp30 Nov 2009
5 points for speeding that meant I was given a TT99 6 month ban, but given a clean licence back at the end.

Its a 2006 golf gt tdi, standard motor (not the GTR or Porsche 997 turbo I will want to insure as a second car lol)

Would really appreciate your guys advice/experience.

Cheers!

You'll probably not find any of the 'standard' insurers will want to touch you now, but any of the specialists like Adrian Flux etc will still sort you out. Won't be cheap though!

Oh, and your licence isn't now clean, it's just not got points on. It'll take a further 4 years for it to be clean
