Default Focus Mk1 - Brake advice

Hi all

My Focus needs new discs and pads on the front... Been cruising e-Bay for prices but at the same time was wondering if I could upgrade to anything better? What got me thinking was a st170 setup for sale on the Bay. Is there much advantage to this? I assume a bigger disc.

What would I need to upgrade to ST brakes, and is it worth it?

1.8 model by the way

Dave

the st170 upgrade is well worth it, loads better than standard, i've done it on my mk1 2l.

you will need
st170 discs
st170 callipers and pads OR mondeo mk3 callipers and pads
st170 hubs/knuckles.

Its a fairly easy bolt off, bolt on job.

ah you'll be suprised how good a ten year old focus can be when its had some tlc.

i've don't a few things on mine to get it sorted and she now drives spot on, stops brilliantly and goes ok. planning on turning it into a track toy with turbo conversion, cheap coilovers (i know you get what you pay for but its a toy and i'm not chasing lap times) and strip out. oh and its a 5 door
