Default is my fan switch fooked?

just been finishing off the rs, and nticed my fan override aint working, pulled of the connector that attaches to the actual swich and it looks burnt out, so turned on ignitionand tried to short it by sticking a pair of tweezers in it and nothing happened, doesnt this mean i need a new connector thingy?

may just mean you need new tweezers

Try something more technical like a 12v tester to see if its just blown the fuse

join the wires that go to the switch with ignition on if fan works you need a new switch. if it dont you have other problems, try the fuse first

ok checked all fuses, and ifi wire the fans direct to the battery they work fine, but just not using the wires in the loom that connect to the battery, so there must be a break as it looks like the wires just are not getting power

Then just re wire it with a 30a fuse and new dash switch in line if your worried Gra.

In this weather you shouldn't need them anyway.

Mine's controlled by the ECU but I have an overide switch on the dash wired to both bring it on - and cut it off if needed.

i was thinking that, if i wired it direct to the battery with in lin fuse holder (30amps as you say) and a pull off for the switch would that work? work as in be safe etc?

Fine as long as you remember to switch it on if needed

If queing to get on track I have mine running, whilst on track its always off, then comes back on during the cool down lap and stays on for about 5 mins when back in the pits.

Other than that lot the ECU switches it on automatically at 98 degrees (as thats what I set it up to do).
