Default sticky tappet

ive noticed ive got a sticky tappet just wonderd how i can sort it,
its only there on cold start when warm goes away

my 1.6 zetec was the same engine flush oil change cured it

i dont really like engine flushes; especially if the motor has done a few miles.

are you using the right grade oil for the car? try something slightly thinner if your not.

its a rebuilt engine its done about 300 mile running mineral oil at the min

was the head rebuilt as well then?

300 miles is plenty running in IMO, i would drop the oil and put the correct grade in. You'll probably find the mineral is too thick at cold hence the noise, once the oil is warm the noise goes away.

good point didnt think of that i was going to run in for about 500 mile then do the oil change
