Default What would you say is the BEST conversion for ROAD use....

On both a Cosworth and an RS Turbo

Cosworth- I would say around what i have, 360-370bhp. Not many things on the road will kep up with you

RS Turbo-A PROPER 200bhp conversion, and again there wont be too many cars that will worrry you

Std comp, T34 .48, greens.

Reliable, good on fuel, very quick, very responsive.

Cossie - Don't know as I've only driven one so don't have anything to compare it with.

RST- a nice solid 180bhp makes a good useable car without mountains of torque steer and wheelspin

I think as much as the person likes/can get powerwise, but then saying that where can you really use a genuine 350bhp+ car these days, whether it be an RST or a Cossie

Too many bloody cars on the road IMO!

Well 500bhp is my low boost setting & that feels soooo slow it certainly aint enough on the road. 640bhp is about the minimum i need to keep the adrenalin flowing.
A 150 shot on Top aint really required but a 75 hit comes in handy sometimes.

i would say the best road conversion is T28(small turbo) greens 22 psi 500 cooler etc..

great fun NO LAG 320bhp 300lfb torque.
just goes very very responsive turbo starts boosting at around 1700 rpm and TBH i can`t tell the drop off at top end from a T3.

Much more driveable than a T34 set up IMO for road use

I thought a T3 was laggy

i was perfectly happy with my greys and t3/4 hybrid , the paddle clutch was a bit stiff and snappy but once used to it it was fine .
imho i think a stg3 is about right for everyday use , not too quick not too slow but loadsa fun when you hit the loud button

my mate had a 1.9 box on his 309 mi16, could hold it in gear for about a week and it just kept on revving

another mate had a 205 with mi16 and 1.6 box, was a lot better response wise

my 600+
ROAD use 600bhp is the best for that type of use

mmmmm and why do people say MAD customers talk bollox

when do ya manage to notice the difference at 40mph woth 600bhp+ and 300bhp

im really confused , oh and the value for money aspect ( not a dig at MAD's charges, just asking if a 30k engine is a good idea for a shopping car )

600bhp for road use

thats about as usefull as a 200mph car for dropping the kids off at school

id love to live in the dream worlds some people live in

Only bad thing about my engine is the fuel comsumption, but hey how u can do the wrong side of 150mph and expect 30mpgs

what tiff aint mentioned though is the road conditions ect

as in i live in the city and find 300+bhp a bit pointless, id rather not have a t34 cams, ported head ect, id have to agree with DOO on his spec but i hate to mention the word ROUSE when hes on a post

BUT for motorway driving ect i think that my engine with 2bar is totally usable and fun to have and very responsive, i loved it when my car was over boosting

and as for 600bhp on the road, fook me ranj you must live in the most remote place in britain, as 600bhp on the motorway is a sure way of takling it up the arse inside

ranj on a point was your escos EVER 600bhp+ when you used it as if so thats more of a point less post than most of my posts as atleast ive driven my car to compare, you just sit in yours with the bank statement and the bills making brum brum noises saying its the best spec ever

or is it 600bhp on the back of a lowloader as then id have to agree as my old cabrio was much beter on fuel economy when it was being towed home, i could also get drunk too and not get nicked

im guessing your 600bhp comment was a joke and not serious as you cant be that smart and educated yet sooo ignorant

bal

have u ever been is a 500+ car ???

my daily drive is 110miles each way to work, on top of local driving.

so whats your justification to say that 600hp isnt reliable etc etc to be used for a daily runner
