Default Where do the pipes off the FRST Amal valve go?

just checking if mine are right after i have put it back together

The pipe on the right side fits to a t-piece which splits off and goes to the actuator and turbo
and the pipe on the left goes to a nipple on my air filter pipe...

All help appreciated

Look on the amal valve, each port has a letter on the plastic pipe as it joins the body..

W = Wastegate
C = Compressor
R = Return (bleed off to air filter box)

I have to be very careful here as I like Martin and respect a lot of what he does but as a FRST amal only has 2 ports that is not quite correct

I have to admit that I had to remind myself how the FRST one works .

All the Amal valve does on a FRST is switch from open to closed when the boost pressure gets to the preset limit , it is not like a cosworth one that switches from atmosphere to can at that point .

Pipe from snail housing has T piece in , one goes to actuator , the other goes up to the top port of the Amal valve with the wiring on the backward side of the valve , the bottom port goes to the inlet pipe .

Hope that explains it

We never get Fiesta RS turbo's in here so I presumed when he said 'Amal' valve it was the same type as fitted to RS turbos and Cosworths.. My mistake!

Turbo to compressor is one pipe with a T piece in it.
The T piece third port goes to boost solenoid port 1 and then boost solenoid port 2 goes to the air box.

Its ok Martin , I did the same some time ago and I have a FRST in the garage , but used to work on Cosworths a lot so knew exactly why you did what you did , will have to pop down and show you my FRST lol

Wondered what I had missed to get Stu to post then scrolled down a bit further to see he had done the same as me and missed my post , as I had not seen his second one , at least we agree Stu
