Default M series BMW owners, question?

Who do you insure with as I'm struggling to find a quote I'm willing to pay

I'm 34, 14 years NCB, clean licence and I'm getting quotes of a grand on a E39 M5 which is making possible ownership prohibitive

Yeah it's HIC I'm with at the moment and they want an additional £975 on the £400 I've already paid to insure my A4

Not a BMW but I was insuring a modded 996 turbo and clio 182 with Admiral for £850, at 28 years old with 10 years ncb.
