No. I wouldn't. The way the MAF works will be affected if there is an oily film left over it.
The only thing i'd use to clean it would be brake cleaner but do not squirt it directly at it - they are very delicate and sensitive, the pressure can damage them.

IPA won't leave that residue but its not as easy to quickly lay your hands on.
I've cleaned MAFs with brake cleaner before without problem but yes, in a perfect world - IPA is a little better.

It's basically alcohol so as said should be able to get it from chemist as you use it when got cuts etc, you can get pads to clean CPU'S as well so as said avaliable from PC World as well.
