Default Kumho tyres - your thoughts please

looking for some 17"s soon, my neighbour has his own tyre firm and swears by kumho tyres but i'm not so sure it's not just because he gets a good cut from them.

been looking at these as they seem a good price and generally get decent reviews online but wondering if anyone has any experience of them? http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.p...m54b0s13p63894

I've got Kumho Ecsta KU31's which is the older version of those. They are a very good tyre for the price.

Very good tyres, had a few of them. They tend to wear quite well, mine lasted ages.

I put a set on my M3 and they where a country mile better then the Conti's far far better grip. For once in my Car modding life I managed to ignore the brand snobbery and went on the reviews

I have the Khumo V70 track tyres on my my Rotas and I have yet to use them in anger in the dry, but they slide nicely and progressively in the wet .

I've found KU31's to be bloody good in the wet. It kept my XR3 tight and planted around a fast roundabout when the M3 BMW trying to follow me stepped out of line anyway

my dad put ecstas on the front of his honda and personally thought they were crap, tramlined like hell and the ride got very harsh, swapped them for lassa tyres in the end and put kumhos on the back

On? Any good? I've read different opinions some say they struggle to self clean and in really deep mud they don't do well but others say they're spot on. I'm looking at these or hankooks and the only thing swaying it for me is the white lettering for a bit of off road bling!

To the op i've used the ecsta's in the past and never had any problems with them and they wore well
