hi all, my mates just bought a 02 plate Porsche Boxster cus his evo drinks fuel!! i had a drive its a 2.7 fairly nice little car 230bhp he said, it felt a tad unsteady at high speeds are is that just cus me and steve whos got the porky are used to evo,s ? im thinking of selling my evo 6 and getting a Boxster but not sure weather it would be exciting enuff for me ive even thought well i would like to own one just for the hell of it!! i realize it wont be any were near the power of my e6 or handle like it, whos got one that can give me some info please..

Thanks mate, what are they like as a everyday car? yes mate we thought the geometery might be out when i drove it it dident feel steady at a ton... and its got massive 911 tyres and wheels on

its all personal taste mate, I had a boxster S and found it very claustrophobic inside and old?! Drove nice and handled well, just wasnt for me. Porkie on the other hand loved his one i'm sure (think he still has it?!)

911 wheels won't be helping...
There are 2 spats at the bottom of the wheel arch liners, 1 on each side.
These deflect air at high speed and stop the front lifting and causing the vagueness you describe.
I have a 2.5 and have used it as a daily driver for 2 years.
Brilliant car, easy to maintain if you want to do it yourself.
Awesome value these days.

All simple mate.
Plugs are done from underneath, on axle stands is high enough.
Engine is accessed via two removable panels. One on top and one in the cabin behind the seats.
If you are capable of servicing a regular car you can handle a Boxster with no issues.
