yes i know its not a ford but the vw forum i'm on is shite!i need some one in the newcastle/metro centre area to run vagcom/vcds on a 05 plate polo and see what codes come up as engine managment light has come on.will pay for time ect.

you dont neccesarily need vag com, any decent scan tool should be up to the job, what engine has the polo got? does car not start?

its got a 1.2 petrol engine (engine code bme)yes it starts and drives but was flood damaged now totally dry but still needs vic check mot ect.

just been thinking the usual culprits to bring the lamp on is,brake light switch, coolant temp sensor, coil packs where it will misfire or valve seats worn which cause a misfire at idle

where in newcastle mate as i work in houghton and have a code reader a snap on so could help ya out if your not to far
