Hi all,

Building the front end up on my project - thanks Richie for the hubs!!!

Looking at buying a set of Avo Coilovers and have a choose of spring lb ratings. What do you reckons best for 50:50 road/track?? Will be running front compression struts btw...

Thanks for any help as always

Cheers,

This is the advise i got from the guy's at Avo.

"chris

spring rate on a duel purpose car is very personnel

on a road application i would use 300lbs front 200lbs rear on a full track car i would use 450lbs front 250lbs rear

so on a road/track car you will need to compermise"

what do you guy's reckon? I'm tempted to go for full track car spec as want the best handling but am worried about it being unbearable on the Cornish roads! What's people running on??

Cheers,

Chris

Weight of car? My 1150 kg escort on the road is good, bit soft on track, but I run 300/200

I also run a soft roll bar on front

I'd like to go to 350/200 with fairly big roll bars front and back

Most the weight in my car is over the front though

Hopefully this may help a little

Cheers J1mbo. I am not running an ARB, just compression struts so thinking that'll i'll need to compensate for roll with stiffer springs, it's just how far i push it lol
