i have a v reg passat tdi was driving along then when i was slowing down and came to gear down the clutch pedal was sort of shacking taping under my foot then when i stoped and put car in neutral there was a loud banging noise the banging noise went when i set off again car drives n pulls fine throgh gears but still get the shacking clutch pedal this was going on for about 10 miles then the car went back to normal i was thinking either clutch or flywheel any body else have any idea thanks

Sounds like the dual mass flywheel to me
