Twin turbo Jaguar
Whilst browsing the web for an oldtimer to play with I came across a 1994 Arden Jaguar wich is equipped with two turbo's.
Rather different so I like it!
Now this car has only done 50.000 km's and it's still on it's first owner.
Basicly it is as new although it has been sitting for a while so it'll need all the ussual crap.
BUT: will it be reliable or will it be a grenade sans pin, i.e. it WILL blow up the only question is when?
Engine is a Jag 4 litre straight six with two small turbo's pushing out 320 BHP and hopefully a decent ammount of torque.
The car is in perfect nick and I quite like the idea of an twin turbo'd granddad car!

I also came across a really really nice XJR 4.0 supercharged with a manual gearbox!
All black with black grille etc.
I'm guessing a manual is quite rare for these, any good these cars?

I seem to remember someone on here having a 6-pot XJR?
V8 can suffer with nicasilliner problems I've hear but having said that: I know someone that has a V8 XJ (not R though) that has done 260.000 km's now and the only thing that failed was the waterpump...

straight 6 jag daimler motor are indeed very strong and can do huge miles, even the box's are tough as old german boots.
i can't picture a arden jag but i do remember the lister lemans xjs v12
i once saw one forsale say 12 years ago and it was in stoke for 12 grand parked outside a massive country spread and said it cost 75 grand new. the next week i saw it again for 30 grand 100 miles away and i felt kinda gutted they were a genuine 200 mph jag 7 litre v12 twin turbo.
