2.4 turbo jumbo 115ps transit about 75-80 miles
In the Ferrari 355 round town with some redlining can get it down to 10 to the gallon
so anywhere from 35-50 miles

Kind of odd my 2.0 zetec mondeo did around 5 or 10 mile better than my V6 does, yet the V6 seems to drink it. put £20 in it earlier it barely sniffed past the quarter mark, and the light had only been on for about 6 miles. :/

so does the current trend in fuel prices going up weekly make any of you consider changing your car for something more economical?
no matter how much fun and how nice they are to drive (m5 etc),surely the amount of time/mony spent in the petrol station must do your head in! saying that i suppose it depends on your income/financial situation-i remember not bothering about fuel prices a few years back when they were £1.30ish a litre and i had my m5 and my track m3 and i had a bit more money than i have now. i hate going to put fuel in any car at the moment as im skint now!

£23.59, 17.23 litres of V-Power chickened out when the ODO was reading 93 miles maybe could've pushed up to 100 miles. ALL town driving no motorways had one or two blats.

very true.
when i was selling performance cars a few years ago- cossies/evo's/subaru's etc i was constantly selling with no issues. no-one ever asked what mpg they did or what insurance group they were but after a while i began to notice these questions were coming into the equation more often.
then sales began to slump and golf diesels ,small corsas etc became the cars to sell-shame i didnt follow the trend!!!

They're truly killing the car enthusiast at least those that haven't the money to really enjoy their cars.
I think the biggest killer now is insurance more than petrol. I feel sorry for people like my little brother and a few of my friends as renewals now ALL seem to be going massively up for them and getting insured on a performance car is just a joke. For those who can afford it I suppose it isn't so bad but for those who are going to struggle to run a car that you really love because you're being priced out of it it's going to be hard.
