fao the ex banned drivers
how much did your insurance rise and how long were you banned i,ll be comming off a 3 yr soon and hate the prospect of drivein miss daisey how long befor they start reduceing it isit like stupid amont for the first year as i could handle that as a 1 off any info greatly apreciated

i got banned for 18 months and then a further 6 months after that! i think it depends on what you were banned for as to how much they bump it up, but mine was nearly double what it was before my ban!

My Insurance on the RST went from Ł800 per year (Fully Comp, everything declared) with Dominion to Ł1300 as a direct result of the ban. Other companies quoted me anywhere between Ł1200 and Ł1600.
Greenlight did it for Ł790!!!
I am hoping that with the ban now over 3 years old, that it will become a little easier.

they lower the amout of percentage each yuear after
also some companies dont load em as mch as they are ment to, for minor offences point are ment to increase by 30% a ban or a serious offenc like no insurance ect 50% and a proper serious offence like d/d or racing ect that stays on ya licence for 10 years by 100%,
my insurance on the 1300 escort was 1300ish quid TPF&T for the first year, just passed a extended test ect and no no claims, this year it was 530 quid fully comp and aloowed to drive anyones cars wether the cars got insurance of not
im hoping it goes lower in april too as me points are not counted anymore
also some companies dont load em as mch as they are ment to, for minor offences point are ment to increase by 30% a ban or a serious offenc like no insurance ect 50% and a proper serious offence like d/d or racing ect that stays on ya licence for 10 years by 100%,

double dd mike not proud of it was on a cocktail of tablets after my accident and was drinking to get myself to sleep everynight 6 cans cider+ was in my system 24-7 the dangerous driveing was overtakeing a car that was crawling kerbside looking for a house number prolly a del driver i got a big made up story by the fedz that i was the vindeisel of nottingham a modern day robinhood tearaway wenkers

also banned for 28 days 3 months befor 82 ina 40 3 days after my crash just wasnt with it and didnt care at the time my mate doesnt tell his insurance about points ect and hes been driving that way 7 yrs bad i know but he wouldnt be able to work without his van

, that should help a bit, oh and ya are disabled so if its too much then get a brand new car on a motorbility thing and ya get free insurance on that

well my cousin has been done fior D/D 3 times so far , hes not ben done for a few years though, when he first got done they never done a minimum years ban and he got a 3 month ban and that was on boxing day coming home from pub, 20 min walk too , tw@
he then got done for a year at end of november that same year, morning after a piss up going to the shops for a hangover remedy as he had to be at work at 6pm , he never made it
then he got done on new years day the morning after again, he vowed never to drink drive and then thought as its new years day whats the chances , well he got done for another year and a cousre to prive he wasnt a alchy, hes never been done since though , but i recon hes learnt now

not in your league rudey.. was given a month for speeding (108) and my insurance went stayed the same next year.. ie it was as if i never earned any no claims that year.

, i never got banned so im not bothered, cant belive ive been using this board sooo long that rudey is off his ban you sure ya dates are right as my 3 years just passed yesturday for my first offence and i never used the rsoc till june that year

Dominion quoted me based on 100% loading for Years 1 and 2 after the ban. I think they wanted 100% for Year 3 too. Thats why I left them behind.
I hope my Motor Racing Conviction isnt with me for 10 years??
Once thats off (and the SP60 that I got at the same time), I will have a clean licence. I wonder if it will stay that way, will be the first time in 10 years!!

Mike has been banned yes.
I think it will go up, but insurance companies are well used to people racking up points & bans so it ain't as bad as everyone thinks!!
