looks a 1k job really if not a bit better than it. the overspray on the n/s rear quarter could do with being sorted alright but i wouldnt go back crying cos there is a laquer run under the bonnet!
a 1k spray job is ideal for motorsport cars or ten year old run of the mill beemers for a freshen up. you sound like you have show car standards for your car which is perfectly fine but you will have to pay for it

the paint job was a lot better than 1k wirths trust me, i was over the moon with it, what i wasnt happy about was the damage on the way back to me, so it went back, what im pissed about now is they painted the bits that needed repairing but didnt mask the car up hence over spray everywhere and they didnt care less about the extra runs they done on it

So they removed paint from the windows when they took it back in?? ...just that I dunno why they'd do something like that, which means it was there in the first place and not something I'd be happy with............ even if I was just paying just a grand.

i knew thepaint was thin yes, but didnt actually realise how thin until i went to put a window in
the main concern is the runs, the shit in paint, the dents, theblob of laquer on my bonnet and the over spray

Id threaten legal, a contract does not have to be in writing for it to be valid, consideration from both parties should be sufficient to back you up.
I dont necessarily agree with the ''you get what you pay for'', we paid close to 3k for the rear end job on my mums FRP and it had to go back twice, yet i have paid under £1k for the front end paint on my cossie at a different place and it is an unbelievable job.

When my brother got his Capri resprayed, he paid £1100 and he had one run on the inside of the bootshut. The rest of the car was done really well, until it started to micro blister, so the guy took it back stripped it and painted it again for him. They ended up losing a fair bit of money on it due to materials and alot of time.
However, they still did it. The guy said it was pain it messed up, but he took pride in his work and didn't want bad rep for his company.
So yeah, you pay for what you get, but I would be disgusted with myself if I left someone's pride and joy in that state.
