As above just got a quote of £89 per month to insure my fez turbo
Spec is:
Beige injectors
t3 conversion
1600 cvh
full stainless
front mounted intercooler
Koni adjustables
cossie wheels
silicone hoses
thought £90 a month was a little steep, im 25 with 2 years no claims, and the missus on the policy whos 26 with 10 years no claims

I'm 25, 5 years no claims and 3 points.
"A-Plan" Insure my ERST for £59 a month all mods declared. (for around 170bhp) The chap on the phone said "seeing as you have owned the car for 3+ years you will be treated as an enthusiast which helps keep it lower".
You have to remember though, all insurance is on the rise at the moment. My annual quote with them went up £8 this year and that was with an additional no claim year.

Give sky insurance a call, along with any others you can think of.....i never accept my renewal quote each year and invaribly get it down by at least £100 by phoning around....i reduced the poor renewal quote from adrian flux on my focus rs by £200 this year!
Don't know if it's your daily driver but when i had my rst i always took out a limited mileage policy (say 4k) which used to make a big difference to the premium so might be worth asking about if possible!

Try Boncaster through the RSOC. I was with Adrian Flux last year, this years renewal went up to 450-odd with AF, tried Boncaster and got 340, Mk1 Focus RS all mods declared to 320bhp, 41-yr old with 9 yr NCB. Both quotes were with Equity Red Star.

I'll second caft dunt's mention of Brentacre. they've been great with every car I've insured with them. Don't charge me for any mods other than power increacing one's. and matched adrian flux's quote this year. Previously beaten a.f. on price.
Plus, you can tell Kerry and John actually relate to the modified car mentality.

Happily retired
Flux were the only company that would insure mine with all mods + Nitrous claimed. Was told by a very famous company that i could not possibly have the Power being claimed would i except 650bhp as stated Power. .
Agreed value £799 fully comp.

Just rang Brentacre after reading this thread, my monthly payment for full comp insurance has just gone from £75 to £40, thats a £350 a year saving!! and as long as i do not increase horse power i can do whatever i like to the car, he said i could cut it in two add 3ft and it would not effect my premium

Need to Insure will do limited mileage, modified and agreed value, was with greenlight for about eight years but Need to Insure beat them by loads. Am fairly sure Greenlight are pulling away from modified insurance and certainly dont offer agreed value anymore or so they tell me. Hope this helps. !!!!

Livingstone Warman just saved me another £80 off the Brentacre quote, i have not had car insurance this cheap since i owned a pug 306 TD 4 years ago.
So thanks to this thread i have just saved over £400

Interesting points on here. Currently with Admiral and tried Greenlight for a quote who said £900ish with 3year NCD, mods declared and 12000miles a year. Which I still thought was high for essentially a Zetec Turbo when I was quoted £540 for same policy on my old Golf GTi 25th Anni with remap, coilovers and alot more.
