I suppose the Green Shed is the best example of why not to wait around for a car that is being built. I aren't saying this to single that car out, its the first example I could think of. For 3 years know we have been told that it is/will be awesome, but it hasn't made it to an event yet. I want to see that as much as anyone, but couldn't even tell you if it still exists. [/quot

it does still exsist saw it the other month sitting where it always does!

I know there were at least two of the so call big power boys told they could come (ONE DID) but they didnt want too run there cars when they were there

We all know there are quicker cars out there and better looking cars

But some of these cars have got so much hype to go with them that they cant run incase they have a bad day, which we all have had i must add

i only did two runs then had a missfire on the top speed run which i had for rest of the day

BROM

i do think what you say is a bit ott really, the way i have read it laterly is that most of these so called big boys think they are better than joe public for want of a better word.
even rod ( maybe i take it the wrong way ) gives it the big i am.who for an older person seems a bit sad to me.
why should you have thanks for running in totb?,,, they did it cos they wanted to do it

pops i aint running in totb am saying ppl that do get no thanx for it
rainburd dint even say anything to john nutter(aparantly) and he is putting his car or engine or even life on the line if it all went wrong
and all we get off forams and stuff is cozzys were shit again skylines are the best etc
am sayin all these ppl that slag the bigger boys off should get there hand in there pockets and give it a go rather than posting on boards
its all about takin part not winning having a go not sitting back and watchin
i dont look down on anybody as i do alot of work on little spec cars and i dont class my self as anything

How true is that
Is that so:-
the Top seven fastest Topspeed Cossies recorded are on this Forum, so I personally would like to know about these other cars & their 180+ officially recorded runs. JUST INTERESTED.
Just this week a local lad declared he had a 570bhp Vanaken Cossie, Fast is it , Faster than you will ever know mate was his reply, didnt have the heart to tell him. The UK's Fastest Cossie is in most of the local pubs & thats where they stay cos its all talk.
Rod
Rod - why does "good" necessarily equal top speed? Having a high top speed is not pre-requisite to having a "good" car.

I said there were plenty of good cars out whose owners either don't have the time to use the bulletin board, or are just flat out uninterested.

Agreed..... I'd rather have a quick point to point car rather than an all out top end car. Nothing against the top speed part of you acheviment, but it's not the last word in a fast car.

Totally agree, my own car is about accleration not Topspeed. 0-150 13.3s,
60-100 3.08s are far more impressive for a RWD car than hitting 200mph that just proved i had 700+ bhp & correct gearing, as a road car its the in-gear times that count.
On the road my car is geared to Max out at a mere 193mph.

if the lower spec cars wana get out there then get ya hands in ya pockets n build somthing to enter
its just a car big spec or not
pf arnt going to ring up 5 grand dog saffys with a set of greens as its pointless the looking for the daddy or the cozzy or rst world and every man and his dog got a 330 set up
ben and pf crew do a very good job and zoo was pleased we was invited even thow we dint have any cars there it was good to mingle with the lads
Summed up in 1 id say..

its the only really due to the top end spec cars out there doing all the development that it eventually filters down to the lower budget ones.

As for TOTB, good to see cars gettin screwed but theres only 1 winner of TOTB and thats Redline Magazine.. Or Abbey Motorsport

Lovin the sig..

I'd love to see the times produced by the Blue Escort WRC (from Norway) or any other of Julian Goddfrey's high spec cars (OK, I know most of them are rallycross cars). In my view these are prepared to a level 3 times higher than anything off this forum/pretty much anything else out there.

Please don't take that as an insult as you/Mark are meticulous with your preparation, but you have to admit they take it to the next level
the blue wrc does 100 in 5.5 i think but runs out of gears @150
