Transit van c/l fault ?

Default Transit van c/l fault ?

morning evryone,got a problem with my transit van central locking

basically last week when i unlock the back of the van i have to pull the sliding door handle,re-lock it then ublock it before it will open.if i dont pull the handle before locking & unlocking it still wont open,it doesnt affect the 2 back doors

can anyone shed any light on this please

what year van?

it's normally the motor that's fucked but in our cases it's the boxes we use that sit exactly the same level the the locking latch inside so when you unlock, it doesn't

the other thing is that if it's the mk6/7 the handles can snap off

its an 07 dojj,odd thing is it unlocks if you try open it, lock it,then unlock!!

you can hear solenoid moving in the door,handles not broken

maybe i need to adjust the bar from the handle to the lock if there is one??

It's a common fault mate, ours had the issues fixed under warrenty but you may be just out of it now

always make sure the contacts for the electrics are clean with no shit on man as that can cause the door to not lock and unlock correctly.
