whats it cost to get a stg3 T3 refurbished ?
i just took the engine out of the S2 rst for the 2.1 ZT treatment and noticed that the turbo has .48 exhaust housing .42 compressor wheel with air reserch stamped on the compressor wheel
there is loads of play side to side and smoked alot when you parked at traffic lights or leting off the throttle quickly
as it apears to be a stage 3 jobby im keen to get it refurbished
so any idea what the cost of refurbishing this and any places around leicester/midlands that can fix the turbo

ill do 175 for std rebuild using standard bearing as long as core is reusable,360 bearin etc will be more and core damage will also alter price but until inspection couldnt give 100 guarenteed price unless you buy new lol

it has a good 4mm side to side and 1mm in/out and the inlet doesent seem to have any weair with the blades touching the housing if this gives toy a better idea of the condition of the unit
with the above housings its deffo a stg 3 yes as this was just an asumption by me
D
im also geting some PM's with people offering low milage stg 3 turbo's
if ur selling a turbo that will power a 2.1 zetec then drop me a pm and il see what i think and send a reply

if the comp cover doesnt funnel in to the wheel it will be a 60 trim 4x4 cossie compressor and most prob be running a 360 bearing which together with the ex housing is around a st3 item, i can build to most specs or rebuild what you have pm me for prices if keen

whats a 360 deg rebuild kit cost mate
chould be able to do it aslong as i put the turbine wheels back in the same posision as before

the hoising has signs of touching but verry small ridge has formed where the housing has rubed against it
the bloke that is building my 2.1 zetec urbo says its 450+vat for stg 3 rebuild!
i have looked for a turbo centre and midland turbo is the closest
