Transit connect brake upgrades.
I am in the process of upgrading the performance of my van. I am changing the rear drums to st170 discos and am thinking of focus rs brembo 4 pots for the front. Can anyone think of any no no's that I have missed. I don't want to strip it all down only to have put it back its original state. Yes I am novice !!!!!

You do know that st170 and mk1 frs are both 4 stud?
Would you not be better going for mk2 focus (maybe St?) or mk3 mondeo front brakes? I'm not sure whether you could use either the mk2 focus stuff on the rear or mk2 discs and st170 calipers?
What performance upgrades are you doing? If it's just a remap I wouldn't bother!
Gavin.

From a little research I can get 5 stud discs to fit both front and rear. The question is can I get the calipers onto the hubs ? Am looking at a conversion from a power point of view. Wouldn't mind a FRS mk1 lump in it. C

im pretty sure the engine will bolt straight in actually, the transit uses an mtx as standard so no need for shafts etc and im sure you can use a standard engine mount also...
