Insurance for my mondeo ????
Who want's to guess how much I've just been quoted from needtoinsure???
Last year I paid £520 with swift cover, insured for 20k miles and buisiness use....
Bear in mind I have my saff insured with needtoinsure for 600odd fully comp....
Well....
£1720 !!!!!
And according to the half asleep sounding gentleman on the phone, that's the cheapest he could get it for me on account of the miles and buisiness use!
I'm fucking 27 year old with 5 years NCB !
Looks like it's admiral multi car for me and the wife lol

It's absolutely mental!.....
They say that because the cossie is on a low mileage ''specialist'' policy it's cheaper
But my cossie's got near more than double the power of my mondeo hahahahaha

Well after a whole afternoon of ringing around I ended up with Admiral....
£1018.03 for both cars, fully comp, mondeo on buisiness policy for 18k miles per year
HAPPY DAYS
Bit cheaper than 1700odd for one car hahaha

My insurance went down this year from my renewal from direct line of £986 to £539 with admiral. I had turned 25 w/ 7 years NCB. Price is also a little cheaper as me & dad have their multi-car policy.
Daft thing is, Admaril said to dad that I am MORE of a risk as a named driver of his Mondeo ST TDCi (ex-mine) than my own Focus ST

20K+ Super Poster.
Mine went up from(memory) about £450 to £1180, with privilege.
The same insurer has some new terms added, which I read and rang them, on the gf astra they added £80 due to a "modification", a toad C5T2, yes truly, they cited it wasn't approved, as I fitted it, and issued the cert,(as I was currently certified then).
A few calls later got a better quote, which they then matched.
They are robbing shits, most of this imo is not caused by any claims culture but the amount of non insured people, esp those having accidents.
The police are averaging(from their own numbers) between 450 and 500 a DAY getting caught driving without insurance, that's a day everyday.
These range from people with undeclared mods to people just thinking it doesn't apply to them.
As modifications go I think the insurance companies have a lot to answer, it is so unclear, my mate lee runs his own bodyshop, all approved etc, and saw recently a claim turned down as the car had a towbar fitted(damaged was front/wing from a deer), and a bmw 318 allowed that had had a 325 engine fitted, the insurer's rep spotted this and still allowed the front end damage, it was the same company in both cases, all they did was increase the premium for the bmw.
