UPDATED PICS OF PRO-ALLOY Mk1/2 ESCORT RAD & I/COOLER!!!
Wayne and Alex have done an amazing job fitting one of their pukka RS500-style intercoolers into my Mk2 Escort. Unlike others on the market it doesn't require cutting or hacking to structural parts of the bodywork or engine bay and looks like a factory item but with the obvious HUGE benefits of their RS500 style size and core.
It's been made to work with the soon to be released rad and fan set up which mounts onto it (will have some pics next week of this),and looks awesome as you can probably see for yourselves...
Ding, there's just 30mm off the top compared to their Sierra intercoolers (I reckon there's more 'use' of the frontal area of an intercooler in an Escort compared to Sierras anyway due to the obstructions in air flow in Sierras like the big front bumper etc.), and I know people who've chopped their cars about majorly (some even their inner wings to mount their RS500 style intercooler) to get a decent cooler in. I think this one will perform VERY well mate, especially as their Sierra one came top in our tests.

PORKIE
did you manage to get that tank off to us??
Yes, I got out my Snap on tools on tuesday, took the power steering tank off, refitted the old bailey one. I then wrapped up the tank in bubble shtuf and sent it first thing on wednesday. I thought you would have got it by now mate?
If you believe any of that, you are a very stupid man
was just looking at my graph from the rollers the last time and my inlet temp was only 23 degrees wi my pro alloy....thats mega low
i know it was a cold day in scotland and on ava's rollers with their tiny fans but its still some result!
Pro-Alloy have finished the set up now, with the intercooler and rad combo with fan looking superb and a bonus addition of a turbo cooler to prevent the engine coolant getting cooked before it goes back into the header tank - as you can see it all looks VERy trick, and the boys (and I) are VERY happy how the kits turned out.
