Default T5 on to V6?

How would it be done?
Is there a Ford bellhousing option to do this?
Would it need a custom prop?

Getting a but fed up with hybrid MT75s, two blown up in a year!

Just had an ask around the office for you.

Can only suggest a custom/Burton bellhousing.

Though on here there's talk of using a Zodiac bellhousing or South African XR6 which had a T5 apparentely!

The MT75 should easily handle the 200bhp & 200lbft of a 24v V6. You might have just been unlucky.

A guy I know has a T5 in his TT sierra, He used the bell from a Sierra T9 4X4 gearbox and bolted it on to the T5 ? If you use a Cosworth T5 the prop is the same and you must use the cosworth transmition K member to. I have a T5 in my merkur.

My dad had a t5 in his 2.8i capri years ago and the type 9 bellhousing didnt fit neither did the cosworth bellhousing. He used a mk2 granada 2.8 automatic one in the end which fitted, not sure if it had to be re drilled though. The standard type 9 prop has the same amount of splines so is a direct fit. Will have to fabricate a gearbox cross member if fitting in a capri though. The t5 sierra cosworth box has tall ratios also and was not well suited to the lazy v6.

Right, wanted ad for an XR6 bellhousing, that'll be sourced in no time!

Looks like I've got an alternative to the T5 getting sorted now.... And it's not Ford! Still need to find an alloy bellhousing from a Type 9 or auto box though.

Thing is they don't! Both of mine failed in the same way, plus both developed terrible synchros not long after going in too!
Yeah they're fine when pootling about and having the odd blast I'm sure, but full on drag style acceleration followed by flat out drifting, not to mention the stress of shift locks and driveline shunt from a welded diff means they really don't last at all.
