Air tools and ratchets

Air tools and ratchets
Are these worth buying over the good old socket sets etc?
I'm asking as I've got a fairly good compressor that I have been used for painting and when I'm finished it won't have much use after that unless I invest in some air tools.
I've got all 3 Blue point service sets 1/4, 3/8 ,1/2, Snap on flank drive+ wrenchs and a full set of Blue Point ones so I'm wondering what the advantage would be?
Would be good to read reply's from garage staff also

Good if you're going to be working on the car all day, but I have all the air tools, and still find myself grabbing the nearest thing to hand, usually a normal ratchet/socket/spanner, even have a air supply at my bench but still prefer manual tools.
