Default Any people out there with knowledge of small claims courts??

As above, Im taking a chump to court who owes me a fair few quid and am currently filling out the claim form (N1). I'm trying to claim for what i can (unpaid goods/cost of phonecalls etc) but need to know where i stand with other issues (loss of earnings/how much to claim for etc...). I dont really want to pay for a solicitor to represent me, so if anyone out there knows anything pm me pls!!

Cheers
Chris

I'm faced with doign this as well.. I think that to claim loss of earnings you need to be able to prove specifically what you lost - ie payslips showing deductions etc... so for example i can't claim for days i took off work to allow access to my property because they were holiday days, despite the fact that I may have wanted to use them later to go away on holiday.

As far as the solicitor bit goes, I've been advised you're unable to claim legal expenses back if you do use one.
HTH.. a bit .... maybe.

Good luck with the case!

ok mate cool. I wasnt too fussed on the loss of earnings, i was just seeing if I could claim for having the stress/worry of finding the funds out of my own pocket to pay my suppliers as I havent been paid by this chump. (not that i have though but they dont know that!! ).

Cheers anyway matey and hope all goes well for you as well
