Default Any Panasonic TV experts in this evening please

Just switched our Panasonic TV on and its turned itself back off again. Its a TH-42PZ82B and if i try and turn it back on the led shows green and then flashes red 11 times.

Please help

maybe the dog knocked it over, that would be an insurance issue

i will ask at work tomorrow, the yard does panasonic repairs and chain does retail

I had this happen to my LG (a TV is a TV right?) and it was a circuit board inside had gone. Had a technician come out and he replaced the board and all was fine. It was with warranty so didn't cost me anything.

Hmmm just claimed for a new laptop, dont think the insurance would wear another claim.If you ask at work i would appreciate it. Cheers

Mine will be out of warranty now, sounds expensive

Found this on the net however not sure if it helps much?
* Note blink charts can be different depending on the model and the year of the T.V.


1 - blink STV 5v sense DG Board

2 - blinks 15v SOS D Board

3 - blinks 3.3v SOS D Board

4 - blinks Power SOS P Board

5 - blinks 5v SOS D Board

6 - blinks Driver SOS 1 SU / SD / SC Boards (SC energy recovery circuit)

7 - blinks Driver SOS 2 SU / SD / SS Boards (SC floating voltage area)

8 - blinks Driver SOS 3 SS Board (SS energy recovery circuit)

9 - blinks Panel Config. SOS

10 - blinks Sub 5v SOS / Main 3v SOS DG Board DTV 9v SOS / Tuner Power SOS

11 - blinks Fan SOS PB Board

12 - blinks Sound SOS H Board

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that 11 blinks = fans. Took the back off and found one of the fans partially jammed up with dust. Gave the whole lot a hoover out and clean up and shes working again

Good work steve escos!!!!

That's actually a really good feature as if the fans stopped working but the tv came on it would have caused far more damage.generally,electronics are pretty bulletproof,but heat and moisture are the usual killers,but of course like anything else,they need a little occasional maintenance.

I bet you'll be on that Hoover once a month now!!!!
