Default Whats the best Speed camera detector to buy

I want to buy one online today as ive had a few close calls lately and with 6points i dont wanna get caught again. Ive heard laser gun detectors are pointless as you can never react in time. So just want something that will cover mobile vans, temporary and fixed cameras.

I know there are fancy ones that have to be installed in your car but i want one that i can transfer between my M3 and cossie.

Any advice would be great

I've got a road angel which is quite good altho you need to buy the external antenna which goes behind your grill or bumper and into the road angel unit forfull effectiveness.

I don't have the antenna but it works ok for me as my astra don't do fast

Hi i bought one a few years ago and wouldn,t be without it it's made by a firm called rocky mountain radar, a 6 band 360 degrees that sits in the glove box when i'm not in a hurry or plugs into the cigarette lighter socket and sucker cups to the windscreen when i'm in a hurry. Cheaper to buy abroad though, haggling in Gran Canaria

Thanks for the advice guys.

Ran - Road angel seems to be what im swaying towards.

Id like this one..

http://www.road-angel.co.uk/road_angel_professional.asp

But it looks bulky and ugly and from what i can see doesnt offer loads more than this..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Road-Angel...ht_2135wt_1141

So will prob just go for the older spec road angel plus. Is that what you use? does the constant talking get annoying?

See i did look at the Pogo's but at Ł250 compared to Ł70 for a road angel it didnt seem to make sense to buy it just for its good looks.

You can turn the volume up and down on road angels and also make the sound speed sensitive like i have it set as when your doing 120 on full chat it needs to be load or you have the tunes on etc.
I have one in each of my cars would leave home without it and saved me a few times.

If you get the older type they suit the period better and most have free upgrades for life as they had to give them away due to the new sleeker one coming out. I got my early one off ebay brand spanker with unlimited down loads for 32.50 posted.

They only annoying thing is if you want lazer dector its seperate on these and looks a bit messey will all the wires. So in the other cars i have the newer version.
