focus door not opening

focus door not opening
i have a mark 1 focus,de locked...my problem is the passenger side door stopped working,opening,locking etc.....also i need to press the button on key loads of times for it to open,lock......ive changed the battery but still the same....can anyone help???????

sounds like two problems there fella.1 being the pass door latch has shat itself and 2 the remote fob is wearing and giving a bad signal.have u another remote u can try?
