Default Fitting an Oil Pressure sensor, where?

ok, tomorrow i want to plan the install of the last gauge, the oil pressure gauge, has anyone installed the sensor on an RST? and if so where is a good place to put it and even better do you have any pics of it?

Yes, get a Brass T-Piece and fit it into the Block where the Factory Oil Pressure switch is. Alternatively, see my thread in the Traders section for a Sandwich plate that has take-offs for this kind of stuff.

does it replace the original one? its an electrical gauge if that makes a difference

Hi mate
just checked, i dunno if thats gonna fit, cos i got an oil cooler sandwhich plate on there already, and the cuts on my head where i scrapped it againsint the zorst mount thing

ok .. take the original fitting off.. think its a brass hexagonal thing .
hold in a vice
drill hole opposit the other sender
tapp out with correct thread
fit new sender
bit of locktite on the threads
refit
sit back and think how much you have just saved
took me about 30 mins to do

mine had an oil cooler fitted aswell

So where is the original one?I have a sender kit i got from Nomad?Cant see where it should go though..

I thought at first it went next to where the Oil fed for turbo is but cant see it fitting there either

Takes about 30 mins to do, but a Brass adaptor is less than a tenner and screws straight in.

Simply take the Factory Oil Pressure switch out, screw it into the Brass T-Piece, then screw the sensor into the additional port on the adaptor. Then screw the whole lot into the Block. Job done.
