Default Help cossie problem

Hi coming to the end of my mk2 escort cossie conversion started her up 1st time in years engine is rebuilt low comp , flowed head , STD cams , greens t34 etc etc problem I got is it fired up straight away but has got a miss fire well it's only running on 2 one and two checked for spark no probes there give the injectors a tap but still nothing pulled the plugs to see if any fuel getting tho nothing bone dry swapped the greens for ones of a running car still no joy checked to see if there was any power at injector plugs there is I've rum out of ideas anyone got any I haven't tried cheers

might be just the leads worth a try.... just pull the leads up a little so your making the spark bigger just rest the leads on top of the plugs

is their petrol coming out of all the injectors as these can sometimes stick ,especially if lying up

get a set of testers and make sure the injectors are firing might be a dogey wiring loom,if your getting spark and the plugs are dry and the other injectors are firing i would say its your loom or worse case maybe the ecu playing up,

what ecu are you running and is it tested

Check all four injectors have power with ignition switched on, if good try moving a known good working plug in the affected cylinder(s), remember just because a plug sparks outside does not deem it a good plug, under far more stress with compression etc inside the engine...

As the plugs are not wet, remove the fuel rail leaving the injectors plumbed in/wired up and see if all 4 inject, as said if having been laid up a while they can get sticky, get someone to spin over whilst you tap them with a spanner, this will restart most stuck ones, or just get them checked/ultrasonically cleaned, this would be a good idea anyway.
Next if all 4 working check spark side of things.

cheers guys checked all of above it turned out to be broken dizzy cap which was new got a nother one fired stright up all good
