I don't quite understand that ?.If the immobiliser circuit is still broken ie coil/fuel how would the car start even by bumping if the alarm/immobiliser had not disarmed ?.Unless its only the starter circuit that been interrupted by the alarm. In which case is your starter any good ?.

As above, the immoby is normally 2 circuit(depending on model ?), much more likely to be a duff/sticky starter, wiring issue.

check the connections at the starter as said above, these corrode over time and can cause your problems, the car couldnt bump start if the immobiliser was engaged.

ill rephase that basically you press the button to unlock/disarm it. theb light goes green on the dash and its starts. but sometimes all you get is the dash lights and it doesnt turn over

That being the case you can always get your trusty digi meter out and check the power away from the iggy switch when you turn the key(after removing cowling), then see if the immoby for the starter is before or after the iggy switch and work out whether this is causing a stop, 99.9% assure you it's not the toad, at fault.

So no green light just dash lights ? Try it without disarming just to see if the immobilser light flashes at you. This may not do shit but just try it for me
I am still tempted to go with what I said originally and Tabetha has given you the perfect plan
