Default mondeo 2006 tdci

hi all, brother in law needs to change the outer cv joint rhs on his mondeo.
he called me last night to ask which way it was threaded. does anyone know.

he has been unable to undo the nut, so asked him to leave it a couple of days so i can find out for him, i assume its a standard right handed thread.

std right hand thread you can see what way they are threaded by looking at the end of the threads in most cases.

cheers, thought i would ask someone then pass on the info to him,
going over on saturday.

the haynes book says you cant change the outer cv joint as its a press fit, i cant see that being correct when you can buy this part.

have you even changed a cv joint,

Not on a 06 mondeo just clean all grease off under boot and look for any retaining device, that's all I do with em!
