Default 2wd front suspension strut removal, quick query...

Hi all, just in the middle of removing the front struts from the 3dr, and i've noticed that the brake line is attached to, can this be removed without loosing all the brake fluid?

Or is it complete braking bleeding effort?

cheers, pete

The brake line only clips into the back of the strut! Just unlclip it and pull it out of the holder on the strut - no need to undo the brakeline at all!

Nuts? The only nuts should be where it passes through the inner wing...? Is it not a rubber mounting where it squeezes into the back of the shock?

It's an absolute barsteward mate!

Best bet it to take the pinch bolt out completely, spray in some WD40 and try and open it up, then use a a massive bar to lever the ARB down so the hub comes out the bottom of the shock and then unbolt the top of the shock form inside the engine bay

Best bet it to take the pinch bolt out completely
That would be an idea as it ain't coming out if you dont as the bolt goes THROUGH the flange in the back of the strut . If you wedge a screw driver between the gap at the back of the hub it will open it up enough to remove the strut, i usually give it a few 'boots' with the foot and it soon comes out
