the air suspension diagnostic program is a handy thing, shame theres no free software for the engine ecu.
some cheap ebay obd2 scanners should work

i like the look of the RR's but not the aggro that comes with them, what i really fancy next to replace the quality luxury sedan i have at the moment is a twin turbo diesel xj6,now thats a proper car is that.
you can get them for just under 10 grand now and every pub landlord scrap metal merchant and small bloke will want one as they can do 40 mpg and go like the clappers and should make affordable luxury motoring

i fixed this one in 1 minute 30 seconds though and bought no parts
people are frightened of the complex air suspension when the usual suspect is a 10 + year old set of air bags, new set 280 quid and a worn out pump new pump 190, recon pump 90 or 35 quid for the piston seal and barrel and fit it yourself, and a reset to knock it out of hard fault lock out mode
I have over 12 inches ............................. of travel what do you get with your primitive coils

i never ever buy a jag unless its got 4 matching branded tyres and full jag or full jag and jag specialist history,i have seen bills with the quality jags i have owned that would make your eyes water but its all relative,3 grand spent on a full service inc tyres and brakes when you earn 200 grand a year doesn't hurt like 7 hundred and your potless, buy a good well historied trade priced one and sell it after 6 months or so and its free motoring

If you enjoy fixing cars on a weekend buy a range rover!
I have the 2.5 dse that's just short of 200,000 miles on the clocks.generally cheap to maintain. Great car when running ok!

my 11 year old range rover can't be any more problematic that a 16-26 year old cosworth
and will probably be a lot cheaper to fix

it's nice being eye level with the people down maccy dees drive thru!

p.s. my eas fix was thermal fuse in the compressor, bought recon one from ebay for Ł90 and a couple of spring seals. Cost about Ł120 including the diagnostic lead to get my air suspension fixxed!
