I'm an XR4ti owner in the USA with too much time to sit around to think. The T5 is plentiful stateside BUT I like being different sometimes.
How strong can the T9(Type 9) be made?
Where would I begin to ask questions or buy parts?
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated!

the type9 (if thats what i think your on about) is not renowned for its strength, the best option you could do is use an mt75, the rear of a 2wd 2litre dohc box and the front of a v6 4x4 box have to be grafted together. this setup can take over 300bhp no worries, and is the same as the setup i have on my 24v turbo.

Really...with that much time to think, you need a hobby.
Maybe buy a book on rebuilding gearboxes ? lol
