What race fuel do you use, whats best for a modern day turbo engine

I would only run it if the engine was mapped for it.

Race fuel is for racing where allowed, not for trackdays IMO, if people are going to those lengths for extra 10th's of seconds i hope i'm not on track with them.

It will be but me and my mate don't know what fuel to use first as there are so many?

It a Golf GTI with a 1.8 20v Turbo thats running a GT28 Turbo

Either 102 R TC or 109GT,
Depending on comp and what he realy wants/needs out of a race fuel.

whats the point runnin race fuel on that spec?

pretty timid, and normal superunleaded will be fine

seems like a complete waste of money

exactly. you can poke doing a trackday with racefuel. Ł110 for half a tank of juice???

Cheers Rod... race fuel's definitely pricey stuff but I suppose it serves a bloody good purpose when you have a tastily spec'd engine!

You'd be crazy to run a car on race fuel on track days unless it was mapped solely for that fuel and it couldn't run on anything else. Its dear enough using SUL!!!
