Default Possible new YB parts, Opinions Please.

We have been thinking hard about some parts the scene needs for the YB that we can now get made for us,

We can get new billet front covers for the YB as the stock ones are no longer available, they would retail out at 65+vat,

And the auxillary cover again billet, and would retail at £22.50+vat.

Do you guys think there would be interest or need for these parts? second hand ones can be hard to source and in poor condition these days, how cool would it be to build a YB using an alloy block, and all billet covers

I was also thinking of an adaptor plate to allow fitment of L8-P8 ecus into the 3dr and 2wd saff,

Ie having the wings to allow it to be screwed down.

I would buy billet covers over carbon items as long as they we're black and not chrome

when i say front cover i mean the part that actually holds the front crank seal,

and the auxillary cover holds the auxillary seal,

They bolt to the block.

Im sure they could be made any colour

you could make a reflective alloy sheid with an attachment for a cold air feed with a nice air gap behind the alternator.

Good ideas, but not sure on the demand, as they are fairly easy to get hold of ?

I think you'll struggle to think up things that people "need" that aren't already being re-made

Will check back though

i reckon a big seller would be some billet rocker covers for the yb, people always seem to be talking about them and nobody else has ever made one. obviously you'd need to sell a new cylinder head with rockers in it as well, so there's double the opportunity

a really good mod for the 4x4 yb is move the alternator to the other side where the old air con unit went on, no heat they will last years then!

run it on its own little belt on the front of the bottom pulley where the air con belt oringinaly went on..
