On Sunday on the way to Oxford to watch my niece in a dance competion I came across a out of the factory new Chevrolet Camero (the yellow car fron transformers) in black with yellow detailing on the bonnet, this thing looked AMAZING! The car was behind us so I gave my brother my phone to take a picture of it and as he was taking a picture the guy flashed his lights at me then put his foot on the 'extremely load' pedal. The front of the car lifted so much I thought it was going to lift off. The Chevvy flew past me with unbeleiveable speed and the sound that came out of it can only be described as a 'angry god'
Within seconds the car was a small black dot in the distance but the feeling of seeing something so amazing kept me buzzing for ages. Your a lucky bastard if you ever have one.
(oh if your interested my niece and her crew came first and are through to the European qualifiers at the O2 in may)

What were you driving mate? Chevy SS would've had 400bhp or 426bhp; automatic or manual respectively. Not too shabby!

416bhp, and 3750lb, seriously nothing special as cars go power/weight wise, even the henessey isn't all that, 6.2L supercharged with a whole 550bhp.
Lovely cars though all the same.

true, but with the V8 you have much more torque from low down so you cant quite compare that power to weight figure with something more european

Yes you have the torque lower down, so in everyday driving it's much quicker much easier, but ultimately not as quick outright, just 90% as quick with 10% of the effort, must admit I love V8's, straight 8's even better sound wise.
I'd still rather a ultima gtr with a nice fat v8 though!!

i had 2 camaros a 1975 5.7 v8 camaro and a 1988 5.0 v8 camaro, the torque is unreal in them.....
