You can get a proper cleaner for them,
I used some cutting compound g10 on mine, and kept going over them with a wetter and wetter cloth, then when it was all scratch free i used a polishing wax (filler)
And they came up like brand new. I did the same on my rear lights.

Little tip, if you rainX the inside it stops them steaming up. Same goes for the glass windscreen.

Bristle pad! Surely just some soapy water and elbow grease with a sponge?

ive seen it done with a blow torch on perspex (no joke) dont know if it would get the same results on poly

the guy doing it just very quickly ran it over the perspex, it was after they had cut a hole in it the part they cut went opaque and a run over with the blowtorch made it perfectly clear again

careful heating it, perspex is forgiving but polycarb has the shit property that the difference between it been workable and bubbling is very close. Also prone to discolouring with heat too.
Perspex/acrylic is flame polished to remove fine scratches and to dress cut edges.
