Hi does a mk4 escort van have a tin barcode fastened to the front crossmember or chassis leg. i have recently sold a mk4 escort van unfinished project on ebay and the person who bought it has contacted me saying the van is a ringer because it doesnt have this barcode ive asked around and i was told its only the mk5 onwards vans that have it but the blokes being a pain in the ass wanting his money back but it was sold as seen and its all legal. mk4 escorts have them fitted to the bottom of the cross menber,but it could of rotted off or had the cross menber changed

cheers for advice lads bloody ebays full of timewasting tossers. van only sold for 350 quid then last night he txts me if i give him 50 quid back he will say no more about it.van had vin tags but no floor number because of floor pan and inner cill repairs due to rot it was 22 year old.
