Can you put a irish reg or private reg on a 'Q' plate car?

No Im pretty sure you cant. in the mid 90's a friend had an imp blue Escos that was on a Q plate and he asked the question about putting a private plate on it and was told he couldnt.

however,q plates do have their advantages,come MOT time the emissions test is basically if the tester can still see the back wall through the fumes youre ok!lol

Yep thats the one Q41BNN

He paid about 9k for it 15 years ago, it spent the first 3 years of its life in a police compound

no way of ever changing the q status apart from export it for a year or so then re import it back to here and re register. It can cd that way

Yip thats the one. Its not far from me so thot it might be worth a shout.
Does look tidy but the 'Q' plate puts me off abit.
