Hello all,

Just a long shot in case anyone might know the whereabouts of my old Gartrac G6 Escort.

I had to sell it when I got divorced, it was a wreck at the time but I always wondered what happened to it.

It was at the time of selling white, mk3 with gartrac arches, fitted with a v6. Registration was A578 XXX

There is a white Gartrac parked in a yard covered in dirt just off the Stanmore underground line heading towards Wembley.

I posted about this on the RSOC website in November as we saw it from the tube. Sorry but cannot remember the exact station its at.

Were the arches pop riveted on?

They were pop rivetted on yes, not by me but the previous owner.

 

A friend of mine had one in the Glasgow area with pop riveted arches on (around 4 years ago), it was rough......white in colour, looked a bit batterd overall?

 

i see this car most weeks as its at my local garage and owned by paul nadin.it is possibly for sale though

I believe this car is currently for sale in the Stafford area (advertised on Facebook). It is a just a shell, but looks to be in fair condition with front wings missing.The alloy arches have been removed and are the Gartrac early type and at some point it has been modified to accept a 4 link rear axle. current owner is stating that it was originally supplied with carb rather than the usual injection engine.

 

Hello,just seen your old post about your gartrac g6.I bought it in June this year and planning a full restoration hopefully starting November.when you owned it was it converted to g3 back end and I’ve seen your name on various paperwork that came with the car.kind regards,darren
