Hello,

It looks like a bracket for something but what?

The yellow is the shape of it as you cant really see it.

Many Thanks Eigdoog

It looks like something to do with your brake system.

As i remember the turbo heat shield does not go on here. Unless there was a second shield under the turbo.

As for the spanner it was my dads and he has had it for years so dont know lol.

The turbo heat shield rested in that little clip on the right hand side of the bracket, stops it fouling the steering joint and spaces it neatly from the cables and brake cylinder

take more note when removing things from the car

makes putting it back togeather
not taking the piss but you said youre new to engines etc

could do with a good degreasing there

I have taken pictures and everything so far so i got it all under control

Also whats best to clean (degrease) with? I was just going to use something like a jet wash/stream cleaner.

you need some gunk or jizer to degrease with mate,
just spray or brush on then work it into all the graesy bits with a stiff brush then wash off with a hose

tfr (traffic film remover) is good

or brake and cluch cleaner is good

gunk is ok

but dont use a hard brush on the paint work as you may take some off

what ever you use let it soak in
